The TTMAC was founded in 1944. It's mandate was to
develop a method of standardizing terrazzo, tile and
marble installation techniques, as well as being a technical
resource and liaison for architects, specifiers, designers
and engineers. TTMAC honours this commitment today as
well as many other services and support of the hard
surface industry and its members.
Formerly known as the Tile Council of America (TCA),
TCNA is a trade association representing manufacturers
of ceramic tile, tile installation materials, tile equipment,
raw materials, and other tile-related products.In
2003, the TCA became the Tile Council of North America
(TCNA) to reflect its membership expansion to all of
North America - Canada, Mexico and the United States.
Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) is a national
association with chapters across Canada. CSC is a multidisciplinary,
non-profit association dedicated to the improvement
of communication, contract documentation, and technical
information in the construction industry.
CSI is a national association of specifiers, architects,
engineers, contractors, building materials suppliers
and others involved in commercial and institutional
building design and construction. The organization has
145 chapters and more than 16,000 members. CSI provides
technical information and products, continuing education,
professional conferences, and product shows to enhance
communication among all disciplines of building design
and construction, and to meet the industry's need for
a common system of organizing and presenting construction
information.
