How to Use Waterproofing Membrane for Ceramic Tile and Stone
Step 1
 Apply
the latex onto a dry surface with a large nap paint roller or paintbrush.
Step 2
 Roll
the fabric into the latex and press down with a wood float until
the liquid completely bleeds through the fabric.
Apply a topcoat and let it dry.
Step 3
 The
fabric must overlap by 4” to assure that the surface is completely
covered.
Setback the fabric 4” and double the fabric thickness for
all coves and changes in elevation.
Step 4
 Let
cure atleast 4 hours before applying a second coat on the entire
surface in order to completely seal the fiber.
Keep the newly installed membrane free from traffic until the tile
is installed and fully cured.
Surfaces covered with IMPER latex have to be protected from damages
before the floor covering is installed.
Step 5
 Clean
tools with water.
Use the PROFIX 6500/8500 Latex Thin Set Mortar to install your
tiles.
