How to Use Wall Adhesive for Ceramic Tile and Stone
Step 1
No
mixing required – The adhesive is ready to use.
Step 2
Apply
sufficient adhesive with a "V" trowel to provide 85% contact
with the back of the tile.
Do not spread more adhesive than can be covered before the adhesive
starts to skin.
If skinning occurs, scrape off and apply fresh adhesive.
Step 3
Press
tiles into their place with a slight twisting motion, immediately
adjust for correct alignment and joint spacing.
Step 4
If
necessary, clean adhesive from face of tile while still wet with
a damp cloth.
Promptly clean tools with water while material is fresh.
Step 5
Let
cure at least 24 hours (Walls/absorbent tiles) to 72 hours (floors
– non-absorbent tiles) before grouting.
For grouting, use POLY 600 unsanded grout (for joints less than
1/8”); POLY 500 sanded grout for (joints 1/8”- 1/2”)
or Poly 700 100% Epoxy, Stain Resistant Grout.
